Tiktaalik my friend

Tiktaalik is an extinct species of lobe-finned fish discovered by Neil Shubin, a Harvard paleontologist (and a few of his other colleagues).  Tiktaalik is the first species of fish found that displayed tetrapod traits, and it is significant because it's considered one of the most famous examples of transitional species (although technically speaking EVERY species on earth *is* a transitional species).

I heard one lady on youtube describe it as 'beautiful'...well, I don't think of it as such but it's certainly kind of cute in a dopey way.  So I thought I'll draw one with a bunny.

Well another reason I drew this is because I wanted to try out ArtStudio for iPad.  It was so slow and unresponsive and difficult to use that I ended up finishing this pic in Procreate.  I'm unimpressed and was left wishing that I never bought it. So, thumbs down from me.

why hello there

This pic was conceived quite randomly one day, there's really not much of a story behind the pic.  I was just thinking of a pink-haired plus size pinup yeah.
I did most of this in Opencanvas so that I could save the event file to put in a video later, but I made a mistake of saving the file as png because I wanted to do some touch ups in Photoshop...I guess I assumed that OC would work like PS in this way, but it didn't, and the png file replaced the native OC file extension and the event file was lost..oh well...this pic doesn't really mean that much to me anyway, I just drew it because of a little resolution I make to myself to finish things I start.

Warm Sunny Afternoon

This is me being taken care of by my rabbit/pigrabbit family.  They love me so much!  I tried to capture the atmosphere of warmth, comfort, relaxation, coziness and just this feeling of being loved and tenderness..and of course cuddling these cuties is great!  It's also notable because this is the first time I drew Piggy!

I recorded the process here.  Hope you enjoy it! Best seen in HD and fullscreen:

Kiss The Rain

I thought of this after repeated listening of Yiruma's Kiss The Rain.  It's a beautiful track.  The bear is Stephen, but I always drew him as a bear...I guess that's really how I see him.  It's signed Bubble because I was blonde-platinum blonde for a while (transition stage, also tried going for white but it didn't work out and now I dyed it deep rose with chunks of bluish turquoise).  Bubble is my blonde alter-ego.  Kay isn't blonde, so Bubble is.  It wasn't bad but now she's gone I can't say I am sad to see the back of her ;).

This is painted in SAI Paint Tool and assembled in Photoshop.  I think I'm really starting to like SAI better than OC as a n alternative paint program to PS.

Hello hello all, I'm BACK!

Hi guys, sorry for the absence.  I was so busy with work and then during late Feb- early March I went to Thailand to visit my extended family/ holiday, and then when I came back I was so crazy busy again catching up with work and just trying to get everything finished.  Things only just eased up in the past week so I had more time for myself to do personal artworks, which you will see more in the next few days!

This one, however, is done before I started becoming very busy.  It's a cover page for a short comic I did for 24 Hour Comic Day Singapore 2012.  The comic can be seen here (please let me know if it doesn't work).  A big print of this and the comic and the works of the other participants are actually currently being displayed right now at the Jurong Regional Library, Level 3 Skybridge until 3rd May, then it will be displayed in other libraries on which I will keep you updated!
